JustRite's January Release-Ribbon & Swags Vintage Labels Seven

I hope you are enjoying this month's release by JustRite!  So many great diverse sets! Today's set was designed by our very own talented Becca Feekin and is called, Ribbon & Swags Vintage Labels Seven. She has such an elegant style that emanates from her images. I used various parts of the set to build my card.
The sentiment was stamped in a Hibiscus pink (Papertrey Ink) and cut out using the coordinating Spellbinder's die, Vintage Labels Seven. I added a touch of soft pink with my Copic airbrush system while leaving the die in place.  I stamped the frame with a blush pink (Papertrey Ink) and cut the frame and squished it closer to fit behind the sentiment.  The image that kind of looks like a doily was stamped in Versamark on my kraft circle and heat embossed in white.
Everything was layered using dimensional foam circles.  You know how this gal loves her lumpy, bumpy cards! )
I added a flower that was created using Spellbinder's Rose Creations.  I gave it a bit of pink using my Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I added glittery leaves, a satin ribbon, and a few flowers I picked up from Michaels.
Here is the set in its entirety.
And here are the other ladies' blogs........ :)

JustRite's January Release-Cupcake Celebrations

I am so excited for today's JustRite set....because even though I'm not sure I am supposed to have a favorite, this one IS! ;) The set is called Cupcake Creations and it is seriously the cutest set EVER! And an added bonus?  It coordinates with Spellbinder's dies. All of it is just so darling!
I die cut all the cupcake pieces and then stamped each cupcake top.  I added a coordinating pearl to the tops of each.
The cupcake stand was filled with my little cupcakes and given a wee bit of glitter. I added a satin bow and sentiment.  I also stamped the frame and cut out the center. I adhered vellum to the back to soften everything up just a bit.  The frame was also given a dose of glitter.
Since I had a couple of extra cupcakes and didn't have the heart to throw them away, I created a few treat bags.  I took a Martha Stewart doily and folded it over the top.  I took two strips of American Crafts glitter tape  and  placed then on my tag.  I adhered my cupcakes and a bit of string tied in a bow.

This will not be the last time seeing this set!  I am anxious to create more projects with it!

The rest of the design team has adorable projects to share with you! :)

Have a happy Friday!  Be sure to check back tomorrow as JustRite continues their January release!

JustRite's New Release-Rose Vintage Labels Seven

Good morning to you!  It is day 2 of JustRite's January release.  Today's set is called Rose Vintage Labels Seven. It again coordinates with Spellbinders. I stamped the image with Versamark and sprinkled it with gold embossing powder.  I used my Tim Holtz Distress Markers to add color.  The rose was stamped twice and cut out.  It was popped up with dimensional foam adhesive. The entire image was cut out using Spellbinder's Vintage Labels Seven die.  I wanted to add a bit of interest to the background so I used Spellbinder's Gold Oval One die.  I backed it with dark pink paper. I added some gold ribbon topped with a pearl.
I also added a bit of glitter, pearls, and gold sequins here and there.
I love the gold and pink combo.......
Be sure to visit the other gals to see other ways to use this gorgeous set!

It is STILL snowing here!  We have at least 8 inches or so here with more lake effect snow happening through tomorrow.  My poor dogs needed a little path because it is almost taller than they are! ;)
Thanks for popping by!

JustRite's January Release-Tufted Vintage Labels Seven!

Good morning friends! Happy New Year to you!
With the start of a new year, JustRite is kicking off their brand new stamps for January, just in time for CHA!  Today's set is called, Tufted Vintage Labels Seven.  It is a background stamp that coordinates with Spellbinder's Vintage Labels Seven die.  I stamped it in Versamark and sprinkled it with silver embossing powder.  I used the die to cut out the center.  To add color, I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I added tiny pearls to the background to dress it up.
The sentiment is part of last month's release, Grand Thank You Sentiments.  It was also heat embossed in silver. I popped the front panel up on dimensional foam circles to give it a bit of depth.  I snuck a few pieces of doily in between the layers.
I wanted to frame the sentiment a bit so I used Rose Creations by Spellbinders to make my own flowers.  I cut them from white card stock.  The edges were given a bit of pink and then shaped into roses. I even made a few little rose buds to sneak in here and there. I added a few silk flowers, leaves, silk ribbon, purple string, and feathers.
The girls have done such a great job showcasing this background stamp! So be sure to drop by their blogs!

It is time to take my Christmas stuff down....not nearly as fun as putting it up.  :(
We are expecting about 8 inches of snow today, so it's a good day to clean and organize the house I guess! :)
Have a great day everyone!

My How She Has Grown!

Good morning! Happy New Year's Eve to you! I have had a lovely weekend away with my little family. It was an unexpected Christmas gift from my in-laws.  We stayed at a hotel in downtown Chicago, shopped, ate like kings, saw a Christmas musical, ate some more, and swam! With the kids getting older, it seems we fly in 800 different directions....so it was nice to reconnect once more. I took a few pics of our day together....
I have a love for photography and I am striving to get better at it.  I have been taking the camera off of auto and trying my hand at the manual settings. It has been a learning curve for sure, and sometimes frustrating.  But once in awhile the stars align and you get a shot like this one.  And especially when it is a shot of Cortney......
I am sure you didn't come here to see pics of my kids, so I will get on to business......scrapbooking!
I created this layout over a year ago for the Cricut Circle of my little gal, Myla.  She was rescued from a mill and was 3 pounds of mischievous love! I used my Cricut, Kate's ABC's, Pretty Pennants, and the Cricut Font and Basic Shapes cartridges.

I used a few stickers (SRM), some rub-ons, burlap, and rhinestones....
I love the Pretty Pennants Cartridge....such fun cuts!
Here's the little gal all grown up and a whopping 23 pounds! She has been a wonderful addition to our family, and I am so glad we were able to rescue her.
I have one last thing to share with you!  I received an e-mail yesterday telling me that my card, Elegant Tiled Greeting Card, that was featured on All Free Papercrafts, was voted one of the most popular papercrafts in 2013.
I was pretty excited! :)
May you and your family have a happy, healthy, blessed New Year!!
