Buckle Up! 8, Yes 8 Cards to Share Today!

Hello friends!
Don't faint, but I have 8 cards to share with you today!
My sweet MIL who passed this past July loved giraffes.  She collected them, and I inherited some of them.  When I saw this new Quick card set, Heartfelt Giraffes, from Whimsy Stamps, I knew each image had to be made into a card.
The first two cards uses the Wavy Pierced Rectangle dies.  I used Tim Holtz's Metallic Jewels Kraft Cardstock.  I sanded the edges and then inked them up with brown ink.  I added some die cut hearts from the new Field of Flowers die set. Red Twine was added to each and a sentiment to finish off the cards.

The next 5 cards use the Mix and Match Scallop Rectangle Dies.   I popped up some of the panels with Crafty Foam Tape, added a sentiment and a ribbon.
The next four cards are similar to the one above, but I did incorporate more of the Tim Holtz Metallic Kraft paper.  I also changed the ribbon to twine and some coffee stained red ribbon.

This last shaker card was so fun to make! I added a layer of the acetate behind the frame, added my shaker beads, a scattering of hearts and some coffee stained ribbon.
One last look at all 8 cards!  I LOVE this set so much!!!

Thank you for stopping by!
Check out Whimsy Stamp's new release! I will be back soon with other creations from this release.

Let it Snow Shaker Card!

Hello and happy weekend!
The holidays are in full swing and I'm trying to move at the speed of lightning these days!
I have a shaker card today using some fun stamps and dies from Whimsy Stamps. I created the shaker with the Slimline Banner Die. I used a sheet of old music paper to give it a bit of a vintage feel. The cute snowman is from the Let it Snow Snowmen stamp set.  It was colored with Copics and fussy cut.  I added a scattering of snowflakes, pom poms, and a bit of machine stitching to finish off the card.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Frosty Glass Die Part 2!

Welcome back to my blog!  My previous post uses Whimsy's new Frosty Glass Die as an ice cream soda.  Well today, I thought I would go more towards a beer look. Not sure if I succeeded.  LOL. Maybe I am just partial to ice cream beverages rather than alcoholic beverages! ;)  I made a shaker element with the bottom half.  The "froth" was given a coating of Versamark and coated with a puffy embossing powder.  I like the texture it gives!  I also added the new Cheers sentiment, a bit of twine, and an itty bitty flower.  The background was embossed with the Wavelengths Embossing Folder.

Be sure to pop on over to Whimsy Stamps if you haven't seen their full release!
Have a great day!

Slimline Shaker Card!

Hello friends! Hope you all are doing well!
I am still recovering from surgery, and you know the expression, slow and steady wins the race?  Yep that's me.  Slow recovery, but each day gets a teensy bit better. I have a card I created before my surgery using Whimsy Stamp's Valentine Pets set. It has the most darling images.  This little pup reminds me a bit of our King Charles Cavalier, Myla.  I colored her with Copics and fussy cut her. I used "Myla" to replace the "O" in LOVE.  This is a new die cut, Love Heart, from Whimsy Too! So much fun!
The shaker element uses packaging from my slimline dies and the new slimline paper, SurReally Cool Sweetheart. I also used this paper for the letters and then decided my pinks were a bit off.  So I Copic colored them to make them a deeper red/pink.  Copics work great on this paper! I filled the shaker with some, This Calls for Confetti, Hugs & Kisses Mix. Ribbon was tied to the top and this card was done! :)
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check out Whimsy's entire January 1st release!

Whimsy's New Release Day!

It is September 10th, which means 2 things!
First, it is my birthday! I am 29 again! ;)
And second, it is Whimsy Stamp's new release day!  I think I am more excited about the release day. HA!
Who doesn't love a slimline card in the shape of a tombstone? And a shaker card to boot! The die set is called, Slimline Decrepit Grave.  I cut the pieces of water color paper and used Distress Oxide inks in Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.  I used Grit Paste all over and let it dry.  Once dry I swiped Distress oxide crayons (black) over the raised areas. I did the same thing with the skull and cross bones.
I glued a piece of acetate to create a shaker card.  The background was also done on water color paper in shades of purples.  I filled my shaker with Victorian Halloween Confetti Mix.  I added a few spiders here and there to my flowers as well.
I added some flowers and leaves to the tomb using the new Wild Weeds Die set.  The sentiment is part of the Hocus Pocus Kittens stamp set.
Thank you friends for checking in today!
Be sure to check out Whimsy Stamp's full release. :)

Boho Circles Shaker Card!

Hello friends!
I have been getting in my classroom this week and am trying to wrap my head around the idea of school starting soon! Yikes! This summer flew by!
While I can, I am crafting and enjoying the slower pace. I used Whimsy Stamp's new Boho Basic Stitches Circles for today's card.  They reminded me of wood circles.  I colored them with Copics to create a wood grain on them. I used the pierced Circle die to cut out the center and insert a Bauble Bubble.   I filled it with the adorable Campfire Sweets Confetti Mix.
This little squirrel is part of the Woodland Critters stamp set.  I colored him with Copics and fussy cut him.  And I thought, why can't he be roasting a marshmallow? (a very LARGE marshmallow!), because that's what most normal people would think when they see a squirrel right? ;)  The marshmallow and stick were created by me.  I did add Stickles to it and a few hearts from the Scribdoodle Critters Dog Confetti Mix. I added the words Sweet Friend in a pop of red. For a finishing touch I added flowers from the Grass Frames Die set and leaves from the Jungle Frames Die set.
Thank you for stopping by today and making me part of your day!
Be sure to head on over to Whimsy to see this week's new release!
