JustRite's Friday Color Challenge!

Good morning to you! It was so nice to have yesterday off! I had my furniture delivered and it looks fabulous! I did a bit of shopping and got a bit crafty too. : )

I have a card to share with you today for JustRite's Friday Challenge. This week the challenge was to use navy, rust, and gold. I have to admit, this was a tough one for me......not colors I usually turn to. (I guess that's why they call it a challenge!) I colored this image from JustRite's Autumn Blessing's set using my Copic markers. I couldn't decided on the color of the bow, so I decided to glitter it up with gold and clear glitter. I used my oval and scalloped oval from Spellbinders to matte the image. For the background I layered a piece of Cuttlebugged paper over navy and used Spellbinder's Label Ten. I used the negative space. I hand stitched the perimeter with gold thread and added a gold bow as a finishing touch.

Be sure to check out the JustRite blog and see what the other gal's have come up with! I hope you can join us this week!

I am packed and ready to leave right after work for a scrappy weekend with my girlfriends. We haven't all gotten away together in ages! I won't get much done......but I am sure I will laugh until my gut hurts, talk until I am hoarse, and stay up until the wee hours of the night. CAN'T WAIT! : )
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

For my card today, I decided to create a vintage inspired card using the Christmas Ornament set. I used my Copic Markers, C1, B000, R83, R81, YG 63 . I used a bit of Crystal lacquer to the edge of the ornament and sprinkled clear Martha Stewart glitter over it. I stamped, colored, and glittered a second bow, cut it out and adhered it to the ornament with a pop dot. The papers are by American Crafts and PApertrey Ink. I did a bit of machine stitching and added a bit of glitter to the edges. I matted the ornament using my Spellbinder's Petite oval die and Labels Ten die. The edges were inked a bit. For my final touches I added a small doily and two colored seam binding ribbons that were tied with a vintage button.

Hang in There!

Good morning! I am exhausted from all the shampooing I did over the weekend! But I have to admit, it feels pretty darn good to have the house clean and smelling fresh! We took out our old furniture and we now have an empty living room.....until Thursday when our new furniture is delivered! : )

I have a card to share with you today that uses the Cricut Country Life cartridge. It is honestly one of my very favorite cartridges by Provo Craft! It has the cutest images on it! I chose the laundry line cut. And of course being the very literal person I am, the sentiment, Hang in There, was the first thing to pop into my mind! The clouds were cut using a Papertrey Die and felt. I added a "frame" around the image using two Spellbinder's rectangular dies. It sort of looked like a window to me.
I thought this would be a perfect little "pick me up" kind of card! : )

Thanks so much for popping on by today! Your visits are always appreciated! Have a wonderful day!
