Hot Stuff! ***Scroll down for Blog candy!

I found this really cool new paper line at Target called Fresh Paint. Maybe it isn't new, but it was to me! I hadn't seen it before! They have all these yummy paper pads in hues of red, pink, greens, and oranges. They also carried these glittery chipboard letters. I decided to pull out my old Heidi Swapp foam stamps. (Remember that phase? I have every single foam stamp made. Now ask me how often I use them.......ok don't!) I stamped the flames on a transparency in red and orange pain. I also painted a heart on white card stock, glittered it, and cut it out. I did some sewing again. Seems I am having trouble keeping my stitches straight. Guess I won't quit my day job! I used my label maker for the work, stuff. The orange paper looks a little yellowy, but in RL it is orange.

Remember, my drawing for blog candy is this Sunday! Thanks for visiting me! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Bitten By the Bug Challenge....and scroll down for some Blog CANDY!

The challenge over at Bitten by the Bug was to use the clipboard cut. I immediately thought of this cute chef set from Crafty Secrets. (Yes, I am ALWAYS thinking about food!) I cut the image out at 2 1/2 inches. I colored the top of the clipboard silver. I colored the images in with my Copics. The paper is by Flair and Lasting Impressions. I love that this paper is easily distressed with some light sanding. I also decorated the top of the can with another image from Crafty Secrets. I filled in the image with Crystal Effects. The hardware was from Archivers.
Don't forget to leave a comment for some blog candy! Drawing will be this Sunday!

You Stole my Heart!

I bought a bunch of images from High Hope's Rubber stamps. I colored this guy in with my Copics. The paper is again from KI Memories. How old is this paper anyway? I am proud of myself for pulling out some old stash! I also used my Copic Air Brush system. I am not a master at it by any means......
I added my white SU! ribbon and threaded it through a pink button. I added a teeny little heart and an even tinier button heart on the left of the sentiment.

I will be offering blog candy later this week.....so check back!

I have to return to work tomorrow.........*sigh* : (

My Little Chef!

As many of you know ( I apologize if I sound like I am repeating myself) my daughter, Cortney has severe Cerebral Palsy. When I had a girl 12 years ago, one of my dreams was to bake with my little girl. Due to her physical handicaps and mental impairment, this never became a reality......until now. Right before Thanksgiving, she kept saying, "Me bake." over and over. I jumped on that opportunity right away! I put her in her gait trainer and God bless her......she mixed, stirred, and better yet, enjoyed herself!

I used the Crafty Secrets, mini chef set. I colored her in with my Copics. The paper is SU! kraft, Flair, and Creative Imaginations. The ribbon is by Making Memories and Michaels. The buttons are by Foo Fa La. I had the picture redone in sepia. I had originally done this layout with the color picture. Well, Cortney had Hello Kitty PJ's on and a bright yellow chef hat. My husband took one look, shook his head, and said, "Waaaaaay too busy!" I actually think he was right. The sepia gives it an old fashioned look, just right for those Crafty Secret's images!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I NEED Summer!

I am finally trying to catch up on some scrapbooking! As you can see, I am a little behind! My goofy son was trying to put on as many tubes as possible. He jumped in the water and actually tipped over! Ahhhhh makes me long for those hot summer days! I used my Cricut for the title. Scenic route paper and chipboard border. The buttons and foam flowers were from a kit my girlfriend bought me at Sam's Club. I also used ribbon from Foo Fa La. Only 6 more months and it will be warm again.........
