The Sweetest Hedgehog

Good morning!
How about a little change from skulls? ;)
How about a cute, furry, hedgehog instead? This little guy is part of the Whimsy Stamp's Fall Hedgehogs stamp set.   I colored him in with Copics and added a bit of depth with a black colored pencil.  I added some liquid applique to his cup of coffee (cocoa?).  Love how dimensional it looks!
I did a bit of sewing and added flowers and leaves.  The leaves are part of the stamp set, but the flowers are from the Hibiscus Flower Die Set.  The sentiment was stamped directly on the apple with Versamark ink and embossed in white.  Isn't this pink plaid paper the cutest?

Thank you so much for stopping by today! :)

ARRGH!

Hello!
I couldn't resist making another pirate card using Whimsy Stamp's Treasure Map Die set.   I used the same technique on this skull as my last post.  I took Crackle Paste on cream card stock. Once it was dry, I used Tim Holtz Distress Crayons in black and brown to define the cracks. The map portion was stamped with Treasure Map stamp set.  I inked up the edges to distress it a bit.  I adhered the map and skull to black card stock and give it a splattering of white paint.
As a final touch, I die cut the sentiment with the new Arrgh Word and Shadow Die set. The black card stock I used had a white core, so I sanded it a bit to distress it.
If you haven't yet checked out Whimsy's new release, be sure to check it out!
Have a great week!

Ahoy Matey!

Well hello again!
Today is the 10th and that means it is Whimsy Stamp's new release! So many fun pirate themed products! I used the new Treasure Map die set.  I die cut the images twice. Once on old book paper and again on white card stock.  For the skull I swiped crackle paste over it and set it aside to dry.  The book paper was adhered to the white card stock and I inked up the edges in brown ink.  I added Tim Holtz Grit paste and Crackle paste to the edges.  Once it was dry I rubbed black Distress Crayon over the edges.  It almost looks like the paper was burned.  I did the same with the skull.  I rubbed it into the cracks and wiped off the extra.  I adhered everything to a black A2 card and added red gems to the eyes and bit of twine.  The small xxx at the bottom if from the Arrgh Accessories Die Set.

Be sure to pop by Whimsy Stamps to see the full release! It is so much fun!

I'm BACK!

Did you miss me? I know it's been a bit since I've posted regularly. Brian and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in Europe! (details and pictures below if interested). I am not getting back to "real life."  Back to school soon too! WAAAAAHHH! But it does mean I can find a bit of time to craft. :)  I used Whimsy's new set Banana Bunch.  This lil' guy is adorable! I colored him with Copics.  I added a frame from the Inverted Scallops Rectangle Die set.  The paper is patterned paper is part of the Retro Vibes paper pack.  As a final touch, I added flowers and leaves from the Hibiscus Flower die set.

Brian and I celebrated 30 years of marriage this year! My dream was to go to Europe....and we did!
We went on a Celebrity Cruise for 10 days and I already miss being there! ;)
It's funny that even on vacation you get into a routine, and we loved visiting the martini bar before dinner.  The bartender was extremely entertaining!
Our first stop was Ravenna, Italy.  We walked the cobblestone streets and did a wine tasting in one of the old fortresses.
We saw Santorini, Greece.  Well known for its blue domed churches.  I could kick myself that we didn't plan our wardrobe a little better.  But it was extremely hot and we just kept thinking about comfort and staying cool.  LOL

Our favorite destination was Dubrovnik, Croatia.  We biked, tubed, kayaked, hiked, and had a fantastic lunch.
It doesn't get much better than kayaking in the Adriatic Sea!

Then there is Mykonos, Greece.  Such a quaint cute town!
This is Little Venice.  We had a cup of coffee while looking out onto the water and people watching.
So pretty at night!

We stopped for a day in Ephesus, Turkey.  It was the hottest day of the trip (105 degrees!) but so very interesting! We saw the final resting place of the Virgin Mary, and John's Basilica.  The town of Ephesus has so much religious history and our guide, Murat was fantastic!

It was really a dream come true for me, and I am so blessed to have had this opportunity!

70's Revival!

Well hello friends!
I have been gone for a bit and am now trying to get a bit caught up.
My husband and I traveled to Europe for the first time for our 30th wedding anniversary. It was such an amazing trip! It is good to be home though. :)
Before I left, I meant to post this card for the July 20th release, but obviously that didn't happen. LOL.
It is Whimsy's new Retro Dancers Die set.  I paired it with the new Retro Vibes paper pack.  Being a 70's child myself, this really spoke to me!
I made my own disco ball with a circle die and Stickles for some sparkle.  The letters are part of the Cutie ABC Die set.   I added a frame around my party using the Inverted Scallops Rectangle.

Thank you for stopping by!
I always appreciate your visits!
30 years + with this guy!

Congrats on New Puppy!

Hello friends!
I hope all is well in your world!
I have a new card today sharing Whimsy's new Stencil Stackers set. It is a darling stencil that paired perfectly with the Doggie Fun Times set.   The little pup was colored with my Zig Clean Color Markers and fussy cut.  I added the sentiment directly onto my stenciled background.  I added the word congrats to the card using the Cutie ABC die set.
Thank you for stopping by!

Whimsy Stamp's New (Super Fun!) Release!

Hello friends!
Whimsy has a fun new release including this adorable stamp set called, Brain Fart! Who hasn't had one of those from time to time? ;)  I colored the image in with Copics and a bit of shading with a black colored pencil.  The brick background was done with a stencil.
I kept the layout simple and just added a red frame around it using the new Inverted Scallops Rectangle die
