My First Acetate card......

I saw a card made with Acetate over at Stamping in the Moonlight I was inspired to try my own. I stamped the ship by PSX with my Charcoal Palette Noir Ink. I stamped it on watercolor paper. I used my watercolor pencils and SU! blending pen. I used my Coluzzle to cut the image as well as the matte. I distressed the edges. I mounted it on the acetate and cut 2 more circles. One is behind the front image to hide the adhesive and the other is on the inside to write the sentiment. When the card is closed all the circles line up! I used twine instead of ribbon, since it was for a man's birthday. I felt the acetate was a little plain so I stamped it with a wave stamp by All Night Media. I used Brilliance Ink and embossed it with clear powder. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

I have been wanting to try this technique and am remotivated now because of your card. Thank you for your comments on my site and I am sorry to hear about your little dog Molly. I just love poms and my Romeo really lives up to his name. (Then again so does the chihuahua CAPONE!)

Hay, just saw this style of card over on the site you mentioned. You did an amazing job with this technique. You were quick to try it, by the way. Your directions were good. I couldn't quite get that she placed a piece of paper on the inside of the card. I love the nautical theme you used.
