Chocaholic!

I don't know about you, but I seem to throw NOTHING away these days! I look at everything as a possible "alterable!" So now I have a basement filled with things I'm gonna alter......: ) I decided instead of just storing them downstairs, I am going to actually USE them! Woohooo! I pulled out a Bath & Body glass jar and decided to make a candy jar out of it.

I pulled out my Crafty Secret's Sweet Stuff set. I stamped the images, colored them with Copics and cut them out. I added Crystal lacquer for dimension. The top of the jar is old corrugated cardboard. (Yep, save that too!) I ripped the top layer off to show the "ribs." I swiped it a bit with white paint. I cut a cream felt circle and added that to the top as well. I layered the images, a bow threaded with a SU! button.

I painted the lid white and dipped it in glitter. I found this gingham ribbon that worked perfectly.....and it covered up the Bath & Body logo!
Happy Friday! I am going out on a "date" with hubby tomorrow night! It is long overdue, and apparently he has a surprise for me. I can't wait to see where he is taking me!
Thanks for visiting and have a GREAT weekend!!!! : )

This is absolutely darling!!! Way to re-purpose that jar...too cute! I'm with ya on saving everything...the other day I put part of an old washcloth on my card...ya never know when you could use a strip of terry cloth, or an empty B&BW jar, right?
