How About a Card and a Giveaway!

Good morning! YAY! It is the weekend! I have an awesome giveaway today! Would you like to win a Gypsy?! It retails for $209.00! If you win it and register it before December 31st you will be able to download 5 free cartridges HERE! How do you win it? Just leave a comment telling me something interesting about yourself! That's it! Easy right? : ) I will randomly pick a winner on Sunday around 8PM CST. I also have a card to share with you today too! I created this using the cartridge, Freshly Picked. The paper is from Girls Paperie. I inked the edges to shabby it up a bit, and added glitter to the flowers. (They were cut at 1", 1 1/2" , 1 3/4" and then stacked). Buttons were added to their centers. I added a tag cut from the Sentimentals cartridge and stamped on it with a Papertrey stamp. I added some of my colored seam binding and a few pearls.
I created a shadow box effect with the frame (Also from Freshly Picked) and pop dots.

Have I told you how much I adore Martha Stewart's chunky clear glitter? SWOON!!

I hope to learn a bit more about you and make one person VERY happy this weekend! : )

Have a wonderful weekend!

oh, what a wonderful giveaway!!
Something interesting about myself would be... I've tried every hobby out there! Tole painting, Quilting, Jewelry making, Card making (my current love), paper piecing, crochet, knitting. Card making was my first, so I've made a full circle back with lots of gained knowledge along the way. I use my highlighting and shadowing knowledge from tole painting on my paper piecing, and use wire and beads (from my jewelry know-how) on some cards as well!

Wow! another wonderful give away.
First of all I love your card you made. Some thing interesting about me... Let me think, I have done almost every craft possible and I love digital stamps and copic markers and colored pencils. I take every class possible around me.

I love the card! You are very talented Something interesting about myself? In the five months of the year that we are not doing Craft Fairs and Farmer's Market I learn something new. This winter it is going to be Photoshop to learn how to make my own scrapbooking kits. Past projects have been: soap crafting and personal care products which I now sell and baking yeast breads and rolls. I would LOVE to win the gypsy!

Thanks for all the giveaways. Something about myself would be that I LOVE the color pink!! It is such a dreamy color and very calming for me. Thanks again! Have a great weekend!

Your card is so pretty! I love this one! Something interesting about me, huh? Well...I can't eat of off yellow plates. I don't know why. My sister can't, either, though, which is particularly odd because we didn't discover that we both had this little 'problem' until my Mom bought a set of plates in green, blue, and yellow, and both of us told her we couldn't use the yellow ones! She was confused and wondered how she got such weird children! HA!

Good morning, Michele! Gorgeous card, my friend! That chunky MS glitter is one of my favorites, too--love it on your pretty flowers!

Great giveaway! Something interesting, huh?.....I love researching my family history and have been doing it since I was 12...how many 12-year olds troll around in old files in dusty town clerks' offices??? What a goofy kid!

Hope you have a beautiful day today!

What a fabulous giveaway! Something interesting about me? Well ....I'm fluent in 5 languages. My first love is flying single engine aircraft. Second love is crafting. I once spent a night in a French jail. No, not like that! I was touring a former jail in Paris and accidentally got locked in when they closed for the evening. I gave birth to my first and only child at age 42.

Love the card-would love to win a NEW TOOL! I've learned...at 50--that I need to take each moment for what it is--special in and of itself-never to be caught again--take the time to appreciate...those around me, art, nature-EVERYTHING. Yep, I've learned the hard way (lost a husband to cancer, my own health issues, etc.)--but I've learned...and I hope to have a lot more years to practice it!

Katie said...

Wow. That's an exceptionally beautiful card. Hm. Something interesting about myself. I LOVE peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. No, I am not pregnant or crazy. They are just delicious. :) Have a great weekend.

jjlarson said...

I absolutely love all that you do! Love the vintage look, bought bias tape on the internet, saturated it with glimmer mist, dumped coffee grounds on top. My family wondered what kind of gross concoction I was making for supper and it does not look anything like yours. I will read over the instructions again and hopefully get it to look better.

Something interesting about me....not something that I'm proud of but my son went to school this morning with a duck taped hem on his pants. I'm not sure if that labels me as creative or just plain crazy. He has his school Christmas program and his new pants were too long so we had to make do. I hope it holds up and isn't hanging out as he walks off the stage.

Thanks so much for the great giveaway and wonderful inspiration you bring to the board.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Hi Michele. I love your card and I can not say just how exciting I think the chance to win this is. WOW, I have wanted one since I first saw it, but there has just not been a way for us to budget it. Now, something about myself..Hmmmm I am a Wife to my best friend and have been for almost 18 years. I am a Mom to two of the most loving children and have been for 13 years. :O) I am a scrapbooker/cardmaker and I was actually teaching Cricut classes at our local store until she had to close for family needs. I am sad to say that I kind of got depressed over the whole thing and it has just been the last two months that I have pulled out my wonderful Cricut and start to encorporate it into my card making. I love to teach and I love to share my job of creating with people. My favorite students are my 13 year old son and my 12 year old daughter. We spend lots of time each other either coloring or cuting out paper dolls to make for my little nieces. Well, I guess that's more about my family than me, but really I am my family so that makes it me. Hugs, Lisa G
