Hodge Podge....

Every now and then, I like to scrap about myself. I think it is important for my children and future grandchildren to have a glimpse at who I am as a person. I often wish my grandmother had left some things behind that would show me the kind of person she was when she was younger.  But she didn't, not a thing.  So I only know my Nonnie as my grandma, nothing more.

My LO today consists of a hodge podge of stuff I had on my desk.  Left over flowers, doilies, a journaling transparency, a banner punch......sequins. I am a very visual person, so if it's out, it will get used.  This is just a silly LO......nothing too deep or personal.  Just some things I am liking right now.
I love using Glimmer Mists! They add such a fun texture to LO's! The flower and leaves were cut using Flower Shoppe.....from some other project. The chair was cut from a piece of designer paper.  I added a button to emulate a pillow.
I love this piece of Teresa Collin's paper.....I love that in all caps it says, FAMILY IS EVERYTHING. Yep.

Some of the silly things I love right now..........don't judge. ; )

I know we all want to be "caught up" with our children's books.....but I hope you are throwing yourself into those books once in awhile.  Let your children see who you are.  They will appreciate it!
Happy Monday!!!

Beautiful layout! And thanks so much for the reminder! I frequently scrap pictures of me with my family, or individually with each daughter or my husband...but I don't think I have ever done a page of just ME - definitely food for thought! Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Wow, what a great idea. I remember one grandma because she taught me so much like sewing on a tredle machine (yes I am that old) and watering her beautiful flowers with a bucket and mason jar but my other grandma, not at all! What a shame. have a beautiful day. Regina

I love this Michele! We recently went through my Grandmother's things.I was touched that she not only saved corsages, but wrote how they made her feel and about the events they were given. This made me realize how I have to start writing down those same things for my family.

I love your layout ( no surprise to you right? ) I love your creativeness, the colors are awesome ( they capture the "you" I've come to know... through this blog), love it !
Funny I was just thinking of doing a layout using stuff left over on my table...it's fun to do that periodically !

Thank you for the inspiration to do a layout like this. I am rarely in my albums because I am the photographer. And truth be told, I try to avoid being photographed .. but I will try to do something like this because I should be present, right?
