Crafty Secrets!

I just adore the Crafty Secrets stamps! They are such high quality acrylic stamps! I bought this fairy set over the summer and hadn't used this particular image yet. I embossed it in black and added glitter to it while it was still warm. The paper is Basic Grey's Periphery line. I just got my Spellbinders order in....so the embossed rectangles behind the image were created with it! Gotta love that it embosses AND die cuts! I added some pretty Felt Primas and ric rac.
Have a great day!!!

Inque Boutique

I was lucky enough to win this cute stamp set from Inque Boutique! I colored the bird in with my Copics and added some sparkle to his tail using my black Spica marker. The paper is by Creative Imaginations and SU! The photo corner is felt that I sewed on. I added some buttons tied with floss. The vellum sentiment was by Making Memories and is fairly old. Thanks for looking....quick post tonight....have to go pick up the kids from CCD!

Halloween Bees!

I love these Stampendous bees! I think they are so cute! So going with the Halloween theme....decided to make them festive for the holiday. I used the Martha Stewart paper and cut the bodies out. I added a thin line of black glitter around the bodies. I used my Copics to color their faces and wings. The Happy Halloween sentiment is by Autumn Leaves. The cute buttons are from Making Memories.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I did lots and lots of Fall cleaning. Taking down curtains, washing glasses in the china cabinet....just stuff that gets neglected all summer long! It feels good when the house is clean! Not that it will last very long!

Wine a Bit....

I've always loved this fat chef! Decided to pull him out again. I had found some great wine paper (Karen Foster), at Archivers awhile back. I layered it in the back. I used my Copics to color the chef. I used some dark purple fibers and a cute grape charm by Karen Foster. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Shaker Box & Cuttlebug Kids!

I don't know why I HAD to have this die cut by Cuttlebug....I guess I am drawn to anything cute! So the day I got it I had to play. I haven't made a shaker box in years and decided it would be fun to make one again. I used the negative space from my oval scallop punch. I cuttlebugged the transparency in the background (IF you click on it you might see it....it is pretty subtle) I filled it with iridescent sequins for the snow. The paper is from Paper Salon which I sewed....yes, I AM on quite the sewing kick these days.....not clothes....just cards! I stamped the sentiment on white twill, added a black polka dot photo corner....which by the way, is a the back side of Martha Stewart's Halloween paper pack! I thought it needed a little black to balance the black in the penguin. And last but not least, I used some OLD acrylic snowflakes, tied some white floss, and it was done.

Bitten by The Bug Challenge!

The challenge for Bitten by the Bug was to use the Mini Monograms cartridge. I had to use the word, Smile. I used Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. I also used some old Making Memories fabric paper. If you look closely, you will see that I sewed....BY HAND...the little beads around the chocolate paper! I also added beads to the center of the pink flower. (Didn't know I was so domestic did ya? ) I have been on a glitter kick like some other stampers I know....and added some to the sentiment. Isn't everything better with glitter? I used some old ribbon and pearls to the picture anchor. (Is that what you call it?) I added a pearl to the i and a rhinestone ring around it. I was pleased with this card for a change!

Blog Candy Winner and Birthday RAK's!

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes! I am so glad to have met such great women! You made my birthday! Your stories really made my weekend! Some of them were hysterical! My random picker...aka....Kyle...my 10 year old son picked lucky # 32, Stampin Granny! Congratulations! Send me your e-mail and I will get your goodies out to you! This first card is from my MIL! Isn't she talented? She won't start a blog because she feels her work isn't "good" enough. Is she crazy? This is the cutest card! I sure wish she would start a blog of her own.....she is certainly "good" enough!
This next card is from the RAK club at SCS. It is from Sharon Broussard. This is the cheeriest card! I love it! Thank you Sharon!
This next card is from my 10 year old son. I was really mad at him this morning because he didn't make me a card, or draw a picture or do ANYTHING for my birthday! I told him maybe I will just "forget" his in February! He didn't like that much and ran and made me this quickie card! I guess it is the thought that counts.....right?
And I rock! How cool is that?
