Easter Chicks With Dimension!

Good morning and happy Monday to you!
I will sharing a boat load of Easter cards this week with you!
This one is up on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog today.
I borrowed this cute set from my Mother in law.  It is from Stampin' Up!
I colored it using Copic Markers and added glossy accents to the far right chick.

I used lots and lots of Crafty Foam Tape between each layer.  Can you say obsessed with this stuff? It is definitely my go to adhesive!
I added a strip of Lawn Fawn plaid paper behind the image, a bit of twine, a vellum flower, and a few sequins to finish the card off.

I will be back each day this week with a new card, so please stop by for a quick visit!
Thanks so much!

Clear Treat Box Perfect for Easter!

Howdy and happy Thursday to you!  It is raining and storming here in Chicago like crazy!
Trees are down, water in basements, siding blown off....it's been going on for about 24 hours and it is making me crazy! (I hate storms because I am a huge scaredy cat!)
So what's a girl to do when she is nervously waiting for the storm to pass?
Yep.
Craft.
I created this clear triangular treat box for SRM.
I adhered a doily to the edge as a base for my watercolored/glittered Quickutz eggs.  I am total old school with my Quickutz.  I remember back in the day when they were super popular, us crafty girls would compare which dies we had and squeal when we got a brand new one! (Or maybe that was just me?  Because I am kind of a dork that way?)
I adhered a spring sentiment on white paper and then a strip of black paper to make it pop.  I placed it on top of my eggs with foam tape.  For my final touch I tied a bow with charcoal twine and glued a rhinestone to the center.
As soon as it gets light out here, I can assess the damage to my house and property. Fun times.
I am praying that there is minimal damage.
This weekend the forecast looks warm and sunny.....so I just need to get through today and then I am home free!
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you all for stopping by!

Water Color Vs. Prisma Pencils!

Good morning! I love this adorable stamp from Whipper Snapper called, Bow Wow Birthday!  I loved it so much I decided to make two cards with it.  The first card uses Zig Clean Color Markers.  I love water color, but due to my impatient personality, I sometimes mess up my images.  It is very wise to work on areas of the card that don't touch!  I've learned many times the hard way!
I added mini pom poms to their party hats, a few colorful sequins and a die cut sentiment.
For my second card I used Prisma colored pencils.  Coloring with pencils is a bit more time consuming, but I do love the look it gives! I also felt like I had a bit more control with the pencils. I added highlights with a white gel pen.

I used a plaid paper behind the image from Lawn Fawn, a sticker sentiment from SRM Stickers, and a few sequins.
Here are the two cards side by side.  Which one do you like better?  What medium do you prefer?  Water colors or colored pencils?
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Small Stamps...Big Impact!

Good morning! I have a card for you today using a new stamp set from SRM Stickers called, Heaven & Earth.  I repeated the fish in a random pattern on a tag.  I added bubbles in between the fish using a Copic safe marker. Kind of gives a Zentangle vibe doesn't it? I colored the images with my Copic markers.  I used two colors on each fish to give a bit of shading.  Once everything was colored, I applied glossy accents for a bit of pop.

I matted the tag on black card stock and tied charcoal twine at the top.  I adhered that to kraft, black, and red card stock.  I stamped the sentiment in black for a final touch.
I am enjoying my spring break with a bit of sleeping in, crafting, and catching up with my family a bit.  Yesterday I took Cort to see Beauty and the Beast, and tonight is dinner with Kyle.
Enjoy your day today!
Thank you for popping by!

Embellished Egg Cartons!

Good morning and happy Friday to you!
I am off next week for spring break and couldn't be happier! A little time to catch up with family and sleep in for a few days! ;)
I am up on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog today with these embellished egg cartons.
Does anyone else have an obsession with Target's Dollar Spot?  Although they really should rename it to Target's Dollar(s) Spot!  Because let's be honest, is anything in that section really a dollar?
But nonetheless, I still love it and always seem to find something I have to have.  Like these gingham bunnies.
Cute right?
And these egg cartons? Super duper cute!! My MIL bought me a set from Stampin Up! I added a bit of clear glitter to the sides. :)
I adhered the green polka dot paper using E-Z Squares.  The bunnies were self adhesive so they were just stuck right on top.  I used the Dual Tip Glue pen to adhere the gold trim and pink pom pom.  I cut a flower using a die from JustRite.  The sentiment is from SRM Stickers.  All of that was added using a Dodz-Medium.
Thank you all for stopping by! I love your visits so much!
Have a great day!

Combining Mediums...

Good morning!
I hope you all had a great weekend! I was up on the SRM Blog last week with this card.  It is a stamp set by Altnew that I stamped in Versamark and embossed in white.  I colored it using Watercolor Twist Pencils.  I added shadows with Copics in various shades of grey.  I also added a bit of stippling around the flowers.  I thought it added a fun and interesting element to the card.
I lost a bit of control of myself with the crazy amount of glitter I used here! The panel behind the colored image was completely covered in a chunky white glitter.  Then I adhered an SRM sticker and surrounded it with additional glitter.  Too much? Probably.  ;)
But that's how I roll....
A few sequins finished it off which was better than me adding more glitter!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Adhesive as a Design Element

Good morning and happy hump day!  I have a card to share with you today that I created for Prime Publishing using products from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  I wanted to do something with these dimensional foam squares besides just placing them behind a piece of paper.  I wanted to create some type of design element with them.  While the foam squares are on the sheet I cut them into 3x3 pieces.  I carefully peeled off the tops and placed my light blue paper on top of it.  Since they are sticky on both sides I was able to flip it, peel the tops off of that side and then sprinkle it with silver glitter.
I swiped the edges of the blue paper with Versamark and sprinkled it with silver embossing powder.  I adhered that over a pink scalloped square with Crafty Foam Tape.  The sentiment was cut using Scrapbook Adhesives Crafty Foam sheet.  I ran it through my die cut machine, peeled off the top and sprinkled a pale pink glitter over it.  I glued it to the silver squares.
I felt like it needed a pop of color and little bit of somethin' somethin', so I took two leaves and coated them in a lime green glitter.  I also cut a small flower from the leftover Crafty Foam sheet and adhered that to the leaves.  I tied a bit of white string and placed it under the blue glittery flower.  I glued a pearl to the center for the last finishing touch.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I truly appreciate your visits!
