Thank Ye Matey!

Happy Thursday!
I have one last card to share with you using the ARRGG Pirate set from Whimsy Stamps.  Tomorrow is their March release and I can't wait to share all of the new sets!
But for today, I am still in pirate mode. ;)
I stamped my own background using black Memento ink.
I cut a circle for the sentiment.  I colored my dragon pirate dude with Copic markers.  I decided to incorporate the Smile die cut and give it a bit of sparkle with  Nuvo Glitter Drops.
I used a touch of glittery paper on the right hand side for a bit more sparkle.  Dragons like glitter too!

I am so happy you stopped by today!
Have a great day!

Pirate Birthday Treats!

So are you surprised to see another project using Whimsy Stamp's Arrgg Pirates set?  ;)
I just think the images are so dang cute!  This parrot?  He looks quite "pirate-ee" with his wooden peg leg!
I cut these cut treat boxes using my Silhouette.
I stamped the smaller images and colored them with Copic marker.  I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed it in white.
I bit of red twine, glossy accents, and some highlights with a gel pen, and these bad boys are party ready!

Silhouette of a Pirate Girl!

Good morning!
I have a new card to share with you using Whimsy Stamp's ARRGG Pirate set and this very cool silhouette image of a lady pirate.  I used some of the smaller stamps from the stamp set to "decorate" her hair.
I added a flower (she is a lady after all!) and leaves from the Peony die cut set.  I layered the ribbon, flower, leaves, etc and adhered them in place.

For the back ground I used the large rectangle from the new Peekaboo Window die to add subtle interest without distracting from my main image.  I added a few pearls to her neck line and a few bigger ones to frame her.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

ARRRRGGGG! Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends! I have a fun little card today using Whimsy Stamp's new set called, Arrgg Pirates!
I used Prisma Colored pencils and a white gel pen for his highlights.
I wanted to add some subtle interest to the background by using the new Spiral Roses background stamp.    Who knew that roses would make a perfect background to my dragon pirate? ;)

I added a few pops of red and some rustic twine to finish the card off.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Adopt Cats & Dogs Campaign

Hello my friends!
I have to share a wonderful cause with you that combines my love for card making and my love for animals!  It is a cause near and dear to my heart, since every dog I've ever had was a rescue.  For every Whimsy Stamps Adopt Don’t Shop Cat and/or Dog clear stamp that is sold Whimsy Stamps will donate $1 USD to the *Gulf Coast Humane Society.  For more information be sure to click HERE.
For my card today I've used the Adopt Don't Shop Cats stamp set.  I think it is so darn cute!
I stamped it in a light ink to give it a no line look.  The image was colored with Zig Clean Color markers. I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment.
I wanted to jazz up the card a bit without taking away from the cute image, so I added a little clothes pin with a teeny flower.  I used a light pink gemstone from the Coral Reef Sparkletz for the center of the flower.
I added a rounded corner and a few more Sparkletz by the sentiment.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Ready For Spring?

Hello!
Are you as sick of winter as I am?
I can't remember this much snow and gloom in a long time.
I am sooooooo ready for spring!
I adore this new background stamp from Whimsy Stamps called, Spiral Roses.  I used Zig Clean Color markers to give it a vibrant pink and orange color.
I cut the leaves from the Peony Flower Die set.  I spread glossy accents on the leaves and sprinkled them with Glamour Dust.  (My favorite glitter in the whole wide world!) ;)
I used the Friend Word and Shadow for the sentiment. I added more glossy accents and Glamour dust to increase the sparkle......because one can NEVER have enough sparkle!
I added a teeny flower I had in my stash and a scattering of sequins to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
