Happy weekend!

I hope you are all doing well.

I myself have to admit that I am struggling a bit.  We are now quarantined until May 30.  My Cortney's birthday is May 2nd and this will be the first year since she was born, that we will not spend with her. It makes me sad.  

The only thing that keeps me going is the warmer weather and this hobby of mine.  I used the new Poppy Flower dies from Whimsy.  I paired them with felt.  I sewed a button to the middle.  For the smaller "bud" I cut one of the petals and glued the three remaining together.  

The sentiment was stamped on orange paper from the Easter Memories stamp set.  This gorgeous paper is part of the Fabulous Florals pack.   For the card itself I used the Nested Hexagon Die set. I added some silk ribbon, and a few rhinestones to finish off the card.

The card I have for you today uses this gorgeous Lattice die from Whimsy Stamps. I used it with kraft card stock and left the little pieces in.  I just wanted to give the background a bit of texture. 

The flowers were cut from felt and uses the new Poppy Flower Die set. To make the smaller "bud" I cut one of the petals off and glue the 3 remaining petals together.  I sort of  pinch it at the ends.  I added silk ribbon and stamped a sentiment from the Easter Memories set.  I added this pretty floral paper from the Fabulous Florals 6x6 paper pack.  As a finishing touch I added a few gems from the Sparkletz-Lucky Charms.

Happy Easter everyone! 

I created a card using lots of products from Whimsy Stamps.  

First I used the Nested Pierced Egg die with a soft yellow and this adorable chick paper.  This is from the new 6 x 6 Eggstra Bunnies paper pack. I layered them with Crafty Foam Tape. 

I made the flowers using the Poppy Flower Dies and Foamiran in Peach and Cream Silk. It is a very thin, plyable foam that was super fun to work with! For the leaves I used Green Apple. I added silk ribbon and little plastic eggs.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it into a strip to tuck in.

Easter Goody Bags

Good morning!  It is hard to believe that tomorrow is Easter. 4 weeks in quarantine and this will be a very different Easter.  I usually make little goody bags for people at work and such, but since I am currently working from home, I think I will randomly leave them in a few neighbor's mailboxes instead.  The bags were in my stash and decided to pair them with Whimsy's Easter Memories stamp set. 

I made a silver version and a gold version of the bird's nest.  I stamped and embossed the eggs and then fussy cut them out.  I added a bit of foam tape behind each egg for added dimension. 

I added feathers, ribbon, and stamped the sentiment on a strip of paper. I curled it around a pencil, so it didn't lay completely flat.  The egg were colored with a Karin Brushmarker.

Good morning! I have a card today using a couple of new sets from Whimsy Stamps. I combined the Atlas Jar set and the Sympathy So Deeply set.   I colored everything using the Karin Brushmarkers.  Some people have asked what kind of paper I use and for me, the best paper is the Bristol Smooth.  The colors move and blend nicely on this paper.  Once everything was colored, I fussy cut each piece.  I used the Rounded Rectangles and the new Fabulous Florals paper. 

I layered the pieces using Crafty Foam Tape.  I added a doily in at the bottom.  I also tied a silk ribbon and tucked it in behind the flowers.

Whimsy's April Release!

Good morning! Guess what today is? Whimsy Stamps April release! Today I am using this gorgeous flower from the new Sympathy So Deeply Sorry set.  Obviously, I went in an Easter direction with it, but honestly it has such wonderful sentiments for sympathy cards. I colored the image with my Karin Brushmarkers.  I fussy cut the image and set it aside.  

I used the Nested Hexagon die set and the Giraffe Stencil with orange ink to give the background some interest. 

I loved the striped paper in the new Fabulous Florals 6 x 6  pack.  I stamped the sentiment using the Easter Memories Stamp set.  I layered everything with Crafty Foam Tape.  I added a bit of string and a few gems from the Lucky Charms, Sparkletz Collection. I tucked a doily in at the top and bottom to soften it a bit.

Good morning friends!

I have a card today that uses the Layered Dahlia set from Whimsy Stamps. I thought it was the perfect set to pair with the Karin Brushmarkers.  When the flowers were done, I splattered them with white acrylic paint. I fussy cut each flower and placed them to the side.  I cut two panels of card stock, one in yellow, and white, using the rounded rectangles die. While the die was in place, I used the Twinkle Stencil and pink ink, to give the background a bit of interest. I adhered the flowers using Crafty Foam Tape and scattering of teeny hearts from the Sprinkletz Sweetheart collection.

I added the word SWEET from the Sweet Word and Shadow Die set. 

I am working from home and doing e-learning with my students.  It's been a learning curve for sure, for teachers and parents.  But hopefully by the end of the week, we will be a rhythm.
