Just a Silly Quick Card!

This was a pretty quick card for me to make last night! (I finished another layout for Memory Makers and needed a break! Only one more to go...yea!) I colored this awhile ago at my friend Sharon's house....(Dew Drop Inn Designs.) I used my Copic Markers, which I am FINALLY starting to get the hang of! So last night I cut the image out, used my corner rounder from Creative Imaginations, backed it with some orange Bazill paper and rounded those corners too. The patterned paper is from KI Memories and is pretty old! I love when I ACTUALLY use some of my old stash! The ribbon is from American Crafts. This cute duck stamp....yes another bird....is from Missy B Designs. The sentiment is from Doodlebug. I thought this stamp might even make a cute Mother's Day card.....looks like me trying to get my kids to go somewhere, while they moan and groan at me!

Scrapbook page about me!

I have a scrap page to share with you...about me! I did this page awhile ago and thought I would share it! I am usually never in photos, as I am the one taking all the pics! I thought I should try to be in some of the photos and write about myself! I don't know about you, but I love seeing pics of my parents when they were young. My mom with her teeny bikinis and big blond hair.. my dad with his funny suits and longer hair! I have no cards to post cuz I have been working on my scrap pages for Memory Makers...I was really ready to give up....I am not that talented and probably would never get published....but then I thought....how would I know if I don't try? Dina over at Ponderings, encouraged me to submit....so I AM! I have one more page to complete and then they can be mailed off....Wish me luck!

My beautiful New Niece Katie....and Cortney is the featured layout at Scrappin Trends!

I am so excited to introduce to you my new beautiful niece, Katherine Ann! Isn't she the cutest little peanut? Just a little over 6 lbs! I spent the day with my sis yesterday. I held Katie almost the entire day.... I miss having a baby! (Until they cry and then I GLADLY hand them back to mom or dad! )

Bitten by the Bug Birthday bag!

Regina Easter gave her DT a challenge to use the lunch bag feature on Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge!

So here is my take on this cute bag! This amazing machine has so many wonderful features! Go to Bitten By the Bug to get inspired!

I used the Salsa paper by Junkitz. I sewed the paper with my sewing machine. I stamped the mini cupcake from the Doodlebug set, on a jewelry tag. I adhered it to the ribbon. I cut the hearts out with the Cricut as well and applied crystal lacquer and rhinestones to it. Unfortunately, it did curl a bit at the top. Don't stare at it tooo long! Wouldn't this be cute with a little jewelry or cologne inside this box for a gift!

Another House Mouse....and I've been tagged!

I'm on a House Mouse kick! I love these guys! I made this card for our friend's son who just turned 12! His b-day is July 1. I thought a patriotic card would be appropriate! I used my Prismas and Gamsol. I used the Souffle pens to give the stars some dimension. I stamped the Pledge of Allegiance on the brown cardstock in Chocolate Chip. I distressed everything. For the sentiment I used Karen Foster's snap stamps. I sewed everything using a zig zag stitch. Last but not least I tied the brown ribbon right through the red button!

I am going to see my new niece today...will post pics tomorrow!

I've also been tagged! I am supposed to list 7 things about myself that you may not know....

1. I sang in my high school's show choir....( I actually have pictures of me wearing a satin green dress with a sash....soooooo 80's!)

2. I had "big" permed hair in high school.

3. I played the clarinet and organ.

4. I graduated college and got married in the same month......14 years ago!

5. I HAVE to have vanilla creamer in my coffee!

6. I can NOT watch gory movies...they give me terrible nightmares!

7. I hate ironing....my husband does his own!

I have lots to announce today! First off my sister had her baby girl today! She named her Katherine! She was 6 lbs 12 oz, and 19 inches long. I haven't seen her yet because my sis lives in Wisconsin. I am hoping to get up there in the next few days to take pics! I am so excited to be an aunt again! Now each of us girls has one boy and one girl!

Secondly, The winner of the blog candy, randomly chosen by my ten year old son, was number 30! Jennifer is the lucky girl! Jennifer said, "OK, I'm drooling so much I think my keyboard may short out! Saturday is my birthday - what an awesome present that would be!You do such amazing work, no wonder you are at 10,000!Oh, and your new banner is beautiful! " Send me your snail mail so I can get your goodies out to you!

Next announcement is....There is a new blogger in town! She is friend of mine who happens to live right down the street! She is the sweetest person and she need some blogging friends to welcome her to this amazing cyberworld! Her blog is called, "Dew Stop Inn Designs." Go check her out!

Lastly, here is a card I made for my niece's upcoming 5th birthday! She loves dress up and all the girly things! The stamp is by Whipper Snapper. ( Love these whimsical stamps!) I colored her in with my Copic markers. I added glitter to her wings and flowers. I cut her antennae off and added my own wire antennae! The paper is by Chatterbox. The sentiment is by Paper Trey. I love that I can bend it to make it circular! The ribbon was self adhesive! Gotta love that!

House Mouse Card in the House!

I have been seeing some really cute cards lately using the House Mouse stamps. I decided to dust them off and give them some new life! I colored this cutie in with my Prisma colored pencils and Gamsol. I added flock to his body...minus the feet and tail! Then I applied some pink chalk to his cheeks! He looks pretty satisfied with himself doesn't he? The paper is by Around the Block and Bo Bunny. I got really creative....I'm being a bit sarcastic....and stamped a strawberry on Shrinky Dink paper! I used the Staz On ink in red and green, punched a whole and baked! Love when it shrinks...as a matter of fact I put my oven light on and WATCHED it! (I know, I REALLY need a life!) It's the little things that make me happy! I strung that sweet strawberry on my ribbon. The Amore is from Making Memories.
