Busy Weekend!

I had such a super weekend! On Saturday, I went to my first TAC demonstration. Kim from Crafty Me was hosting it! Sharon from Dew Drop Inn, Simone from Daily Dose of Spazz, Joanne from Stamps 4 Sanity over at SCS, and my MIL, Lynda were all there. We had such a great time making Kim's cute cards and little candy tin! It was a lot of fun, and of course ordered tons of stuff....can't wait until I get my order!

Well, Thankfully my surprise from my hubby was not the Sybaris! He took me to a lovely dinner at Catch 35 and a play, "The Odd Couple." It was really funny! It was such a great night, just the two of us with no children.

I guess because I was feeling guilty for stamping all day and going to fancy dinners at night, that I felt Sunday should be a family day. Sooooo we decided to go apple picking in Indiana. On the way there, right on the border of Indiana and Illinois, we heard a really weird sound coming from under the van. Brian pulled over...and low and behold our muffler pipe had rusted through and was now dragging along the highway! The pipe is about 6 feet long, since we have a handicapped accessible van. What to do? Drive to the nearest Firestone and have the guy rig it up with a hanger! Did we let that deter us from going? NOPE! Still drove to Indiana, loud muffler and all! We had a great time apple picking. We got 3 bags of apples for a great price of $44.00! (I'm being a wee bit sarcastic!) After apple picking we left Hobart Indiana, and then went to my sister's house in Lockport for my Dad's birthday! It was another hour away! (Are we a tiny bit crazy? ) Everyone knew we were coming, way before we got there! Anyway, I am taking it to Midas in the morning, hoping that they can install a new muffler. All in all a great weekend....with just a tiny glitch!

Wow, what a great weekend, stamping with friends and family, aren't those TAC stamps wonderful and then a fun night out and Sunday with the family. Glad you were able to rig the muffler so it did not ruin the day.

OMG what a funny muffler story. I would have done the same, lol. I think the tac party went well despite all my nervousness. Thanks again for coming.

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
