Current Challenge and Blog Candy!

This week's challenge over at Noel Mignon, was to create a Halloween LO. Easy enough right? I found these old pics of Cort when she was 7 years old. Every year, I take pics of my kids with a backdrop and my camera instead of paying for someone else to do it! I was pretty pleased with the results! Doesn't Cort make a pretty darn cute Minnie? Love her haircut here.....am actually thinking of getting it cut like this again!

A lil' close up of my title.....
.........and my "Minnie" embellishment!

If you would like to participate in this week's challenge for a chance to win some fun prizes.....go HERE! I would love to see what you create!
Don't forget to leave a comment for BLOG CANDY! The winner will be chosen on Wednesday night! And THANK YOU to those of you who left me some funnies......I enjoyed giggling over your jokes and embarrassing stories!

I can't tell you how scary this H1N1 virus is getting......it has really hit close to home.....too close. A student across the hall in Cort's school passed away from it this past Friday. A 12 year old girl. Cort knew her.....they shared equipment, and said hi to each other every morning. My heart breaks for the family. A teacher and her son at my school have also been home sick.....for a week now with the H1N1. Cort was with me at my school Thursday and Friday. I am watching her closely, hoping she doesn't get it. She is wheelchair bound and very susceptible to pneumonia. I don't know how well her little body could fight this.
Today I am off to a field trip.......outside.....with my 5th graders. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the sun peeks out today.....field trips in the rain? No fun.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

Now that is the most perfect Minnie I have ever seen!!!! I just adore the LO and how cool that you make a button embellie! Such talent.....

Yes I agree the H1N1...especially with the Cort...we feel the same with Gavin....so afraid he will get it and with this severe asthma we could be in big trouble...Several children at Evan's school have been confirmed and a friend of my daugher's is home sick with her little one!!!!

Hoping you have sunshine today...we have rain!!!! YUCK!!!!

Wishing you a great week and I played along with the challenge!!! It was so much fun!!!! :-)

I love your scrapbook page. Your daughter is so wonderful and your layout is fantastic!

I also have a daughter who is very susceptible to getting sick. She is actually terminally ill and I don't take her out much any more. I am so scare that she is going to get the h1n1 virus, it's all over town here. She already has Ischemia of the bowels and has a lot of tummy pain and at times throwing up and diahrrea... she does not need the swine flu on top of it. Have you received the vaccine yet? Our doctor's office hasn't received the h1n1 yet but is already out of the seasonal flu vaccine.

My condolences to you for the loss of your friend and I pray that you and your daughter stay well.

Hi Michele, thanks for stopping by. I've never been to your blog before and I must say your creations are lovely. This LO is a stunner and your precious girl is indeed the best looking minnie ever. God bless, praying that that nasty virus stays away from your loved ones.
Take care

Love the LO! I know this H1N1 is so scary. I have 2 small granddaughters (8months and 5 weeks) and both of my daughters are so worried that they "might" get sick. All we can do is keep praying that we all stay well.

What a cute layout and an even cuter Minnie Mouse!

How sad for your daughter's friends family. H1N1 is very scary! We live in a very small school district and there are quite a few kids with H1N1, I sent hand sanitizer with the kids in their backpacks today. I'll be saying a prayer that your daughter stays well.
