Now......on to my card! Day 2 of JustRite's Newest release is called Musical Notes and works perfectly with the Spellbinder's Labels Twenty die! I love the music notes and the vintage feel of this set.
I stamped the each layer with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with red, black, and blue Zing embossing powder. The two layers were cut using the Spellbinder's Labels 20 die. The banner portion was hand cut. (I told you I have been on a banner craze lately!) The musical note was heat embossed in black and carefully cut out. I added a tiny red Doodlebug flower and black twine.
See the center of my flower? It is window screen. ; ) I had a small roll of it and decided to use my Sizzix flower die on it.....and voila! A pretty cool looking flower! To make it pop a bit more, I added another red Doodlebug flower to the center of it. To "ground" the flower I added a bit of black tulle behind it.

Love what you did with the flower. Also, the interesting combo of colors.

Just found your blog. Super! And I love the idea on this magnificent card to use a 'lowly' material like window screen for the flower. I'm gonna have to borrow that one!
