Castle Slimline Card!

Hi friends! I have another card using Whimsy's new release! This card was made with the new Build-a-Castle Die set.   It is super cute! I used the Brick Pattern Stencil to give my castle a more realistic look before using the die to cut it out. I layered everything with Crafty Foam Tape over the new Slimline Enchanted Paper Pack.
I added a few toadstools from the Build-a-Fairy Garden die set and grass from the Grass and Cloud Edger Die set. I stamped the sentiment from the Gnome Think Spring set.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Dogs are the Best!

Hi friends!
Today is the 20th of April, and that means it's a new release for Whimsy Stamps! How stinking cute is this Slimline Dog Bone die?  It was screaming to be used as a shaped card! I knew I had to pair it with the previously released Super Dogs stamp set. I colored my lil' super hero pooch with Copic markers and fussy cut him out.  I die cut the bowl and collar and added color using Copics.  I stamped a scattering of sentiments from the Super Dogs Stamp set.
I added a few hearts from the Sparkletz Sweetheart collection. As you can probably tell, it has been an obsession of mine lately.  LOL.
Be sure to check out the Whimsy Store to see the full release! So many fun new products!

Alone Gnome More!

Good morning and happy Saturday!
It's been a bit since I've posted! Life has been busy which is a good thing I guess! ;)
I have used the new Gnome Friends set , from Whimsy Stamps, for my card today.  I am in love with all things gnome lately!
Each set gets cuter than the next! I used my Karin Brushmarkers to color the image.  I let the image dry and stamped the sentiment directly onto the image.  I added a few teeny hearts.
The background was done with the new Slimline Embossing folder called Wave Lengths.
I added a few strips of colored card stock behind the image for a pop of color. I also added a few white gel pen highlights.

Be sure to stop by Whimsy to see the full release! There is another release headed your way on the 20th! :)

My sweet Cortney is turning 26 in a couple of weeks. This will be the second year she is unable to come home. She lives at Misericordia and they have been taking such excellent care of our girl.  Due to the virus, their fundraising efforts have been affected greatly. We usually stand on the corner with Jelly Belly's and shaking our "can." ;)  So in lieu of our can shaking, we have set up a First Giving page. Cortney's story is on the link.  ANY donation is greatly appreciated! Our family and the 650+ residents at Misericordia also appreciate you!

Whimsy Stamp's April Release! Mushroom Madness!

Happy weekend friends!
Today is Whimsy Stamp's mid month release and I know I sound like a broken record, but this release is fantastic! This new set called, Mushroom Mash Up, was so much fun to water color! I stamped it on water color paper with Tim Holtz Antique Linen ink.  I wanted a "no line" coloring look here.  I used Karin Brushmarkers to bring it to life.  Lots of layering of colors here!  The trick is to let each layer dry before applying the next color.  Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the brand new Gnome Friends  set. (I will have a card soon using this new set!) I then splattered it with white acrylic paint.
Some clear sequins and a teeny heart from the Sparkletz collection were added.  The background paper is dreamy isn't it? It is part of the new 6 x 6 paper pack called, Floral Impressions.
I hope you liked today's card! Be sure to pop on over to Whimsy Stamps to see the full release!
Have a great weekend!

Sending Sunshine!

Hello friends!
Today is my last day of spring break and I am back to school tomorrow.
The weather has been in the 70's for the most part and I have so enjoyed the warmth and sunshine!
I have another card from the Whimsy April release.  I really adore this set, Sending Sunshine.  His little face is so dang cute! I did a no line coloring technique using Karin Brushmarkers.  I cut him out using the Pierced and Stitched Circle dies.
I added additional flowers from the set and fussy cut them out.  The patterned paper is part of the new Slimline Paper Pack, Buttercup.  I love the sweet flowers of this paper! For a finishing touch I added a few water colored leaves from the Poppy Flower Die set, silk ribbon, and a few teeny hearts from the Sweetheart Sprinkletz collection.

Thank you for stopping by today friends! If you haven't already checked out the April release from Whimsy, it is definitely worth checking out! So many cute things!

Whimsy Stamp's April Release!

Good morning and happy April 1st!
Today is an exciting day because it is Whimsy Stamp's April release! Woohoo!
I am in LOVE with this new slimline envelope die and liner! Perfect for all of the slim line cards I have been producing lately.
And these cute bunnies? Could they possibly be any sweeter  They are part of the Sending Sunshine stamp set. I colored them with Copics and used the coordinating dies.  I wanted to "ground" them a bit against the patterned paper, Slimline Buttercup, which by the way is brand new too! So I used 3 circles cut from the Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies.  The sentiment was stamped directly on the middle circle.
I adhered everything to the front of my card and added a satin ribbon and a few teeny hearts from the Sparkletz collection.  The envelope was created with solid egg shell blue cardstock. The liner used paper from the Slimline Buttercup collection.
Be sure to head over to Whimsy to see the full release!
Have a great day!

Lovin' My Gnomies!

Happy weekend friends!
I have another card to share with you using the new set from Whimsy called, Gnome Think Spring. I can't seem to get enough of this adorable set!  I stamped this cutie on water color paper and inked him in Antique Linen Distress ink.  I used my Karin Brushmarkers to color him in.  I took an additional white card stock and used the Leaves Background stamp with Versarmark.  I embossed it in an avocado green.  The center was cut out using the Pierced and Stitched Circle Die.
I added a sheer polka dot ribbon and a flower I had made ages ago in my stash of "stuff."  I layered everything with Crafty Foam tape and added a teeny heart for a final touch.
Be sure to pop by Whimsy Stamps to see the full March release! April is coming out in just a few days! I can't wait to share!
Have a great rest of your weekend!
