Life's a Beach!

Good morning!

Today is June 10th, which means it is release time for Whimsy Stamps! 

This adorable set is called, Gnomes at the Beach. Who doesn't like a cute gnome in a bathing suit drinking a Mai Tai? ;) 

This cutie was colored using Copic Markers.  For the background I used distress inks and the new Scribbles Slimline background die. 

I framed the image using a rectangle die and popping it up with Crafty Foam Tape.  As it seems that the tiny hearts have become a staple in my cards lately, I figured why fix what ain't broken? ;)

Spring has Sprung!

Howdy y'all!  ;)

Sorry had to get into character for my card today! LOL! 

I used the new Slimline Chicken Coop die set! from Whimsy Stamps. There are such fun pieces to the set and amazing little details, like the door handles and hinges.  I added some detail to the hay using Copic markers.  

I also used the new 6 x 6 Bandana paper to give a pop of blue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Spring Birds on a die cut circle.   I added a few teeny tiny hearts from the Sprinkletz collection. 

I have been making cards and scrapbooks since 1994 and I think this button might be that old! LOL! I knew I would use it some day! ;)

Big Hogs!

Hello and happy Saturday to you!

Yesterday was my last day of school! I can't believe we made it through this crazy year! ;)

My card uses the new Piggies Background stamp from Whimsy. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed it in white.  I used my Karin Brushmarkers to give it color. I cut the panel into two pieces.  I used the Big Hugs Word Die set.  I replaced the u with an o to have a play on words! 

The little flowers were from the Slimline Meadow Die set.  They add a sweet touch to an otherwise silly card.  :)

Whimsy's June Release!

Today is June 1st! That means only 6 more days of school and Whimsy Stamp's June release! I used this fun set called Hee Haw! I colored this crazy cow with Copics and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I stamped the sentiment on red card stock with Versamark ink and embossed it in white.  For the background I used the Cow Print background stamp.  It was also stamped with Versamark, but embossed in black.  

I layered everything with Crafty Foam tape, added glossy accents to his eyes, and tied a sheer ribbon around the card.

Bee-utiful!

Good morning and happy Sunday to you!

I have a fun shaker card using some older products from Whimsy Stamps.  I used the Bee Hive Rubber Cling Stamp and colored it with Copics. The sentiment and bee were part of the Bee-utiful Bees set. 

For the background I used the Honeycomb stencil, then cut the center out using the Hexagon die.  I glued acetate behind it.  I filled the center with sequins from my stash and clear droplets.  It was adhered to the card with Crafty Foam tape for added dimension.  String was tied to the top for a final touch.

Hello friends!  Just a quick post today using some new products from Whimsy Stamps! I stamped the new Dainty Daisies background stamp with Versamark on black paper and embossed it in white.  I colored each of the flowers with the Karin Brushmarkers in metallics.  The frame and sentiment are part of the Doodle Frames Clear Stamp set, embossed in white.

I added a couple of flowers from the FaDoodle Flowers set.  The leaves are from the Build-a-Pumpkin set.  Silk ribbon and a few rhinestones were my finishing touches.

Everything Succs Without You!

Good morning and happy Sunday!

I have a card today using some fun new products from Whimsy Stamps.  This adorable stamp set is called, Succ it Up. ;)  I colored each of the plants with Copic markers and fussy cut them out. 

I inked up some card stock in shades of pink, orange, and yellow.  I used the new Wonky Window 4 die to cut them out.  The frame was popped up using Crafty Foam Tape as well as each of the plants.  I love the snarkiness of the sentiment and stamped it directly on the panel with black ink.  I incorporated the new Bug Hugs die.  I inked it up in shades of green and yellow, popped it up with Crafty Foam Tape, and gave it a generous coating of glossy accents. As a finishing touch I adhered a sprinkling of clear gems and aqua hearts from the Hugs and Kisses Sparkletz collection.
